*'Runners' are the Canadian version of running shoes, cross trainers, etc. Whatever the shoe...we call them 'runners'. (Just and FYI) And in case you didn't know, we have great runners at Sole Obsession. So come by the store, eh!

I hope you all had a chance to stop by the Raspberry Festival Booth this weekend. We showcased some of the new fall arrivals and sold flip flops, Romeos, socks, and stuff. My lovely neighbor was Karen Mullen, a fantastic photographer, so she took a couple of pictures to remember the event (and help me remember what I need to bring next year). So how did the Raspberry Festival go you ask? Friday didn't start out so great to tell you the truth. I started my day by spilling an entire 16oz Americano all over the carpet in my car. I had no time to clean it up so it sat in the sun all day. Nice! I felt sorry for myself and bought another coffee a bit later in the day, only to spill it all over myself and Katz Coffee Shop. Yep, thats right. A second mess. And just so I felt very humbled...I was driving home after a LONG day and decided I needed orange juice. I stopped at the gas station, bought an orange juice, got in the car, opened up the lid and...all over me! All over my clothes, the seat of my car. I started to cry and then just laughed out loud all the way home. How ridiculous is that?! Saturday has been better. I bought a coffee and carefully made my way back to the booth where I actually managed to drink the entire thing without one spill. I took a deep breath, relaxed, listened to some great jazz music and enjoyed the day. So many people out milling around enjoying the sunshine and festivities. People are happy and relaxed. Its been a lot of fun...today.

Will give deals for Raspberries...

I love the Lynden Raspberry Festival. As soon as summer starts I eagerly anticipate the July festivities. This year is even more exciting because I get to be a part of the festival. New Fall Arrivals

Heels have always been a mystery to me. I don't wear them well and always want them off my feet in about an hour. That is until I came across Sofft brand. If you have them...you know what I mean. Am I obsessed?

I went away on a vacation, sort of.  I have been in Oregon since last Wednesday.  I had Cassi and Tami man the store and I spent some good quality time with my immediate and extended family.  It was great to get away…except I thought of work most of the time.  What’s with that?  Every time we went out in public I took a mental inventory of what shoes people were wearing.  I would strain to look around objects and people just to get glimpses of ‘cute’ shoes.  Its a bit sad.  I think I really am obsessed.  Sometimes I wonder what people might think of me.  Maybe I even make them uncomfortable with all this strange staring and scoping.  Oh well, its the life of a shoe store owner, I guess.  So if you catch me staring, straining, or doing other weird things to catch of glimpse of your shoes.  Take it as a compliment.  I must really like them.
