We haven't done a Shoe of the Week sales in a LONG time.

Happy Belated 4th of July!

This year my husband had to work so the kids and I spent our 4th of July holiday playing in the water out at Semiahmoo.  The tide was out, the sunshine was warm and beautiful, and my 3 hooligans couldn't have been happier playing in the water; discovering sand dollars, fish and other sea creatures.  We ended with dinner and a fireworks show at our friends place in Birch Bay.  It was a great day!

So what about you?  What did you do for the 4th?  What are your family traditions?  

If you are anything like me, getting back into the swing of things after a long weekend can be kinda tricky.  Yesterday I completely forgot about our Shoe of the Week.

Indigo by Clarks does an amazing job at creating comfortable heels.

When I first became acquainted with them (at my shoe store job in Oregon) I was both intrigued and cynical.  I was intrigued because it was the first pair of cute heels that came in size 12 that I had seen in a long time.  But I was still cynical about the comfort.  The rep came to our store, laid out all of the upcoming styles, and then began his spiel. Dansko came out with a totally new style this year.  This sneaker inspired look has been a huge success.  "Who Knew?" is all I can say.  (At my house when something out of the ordinary happens "who knew" is our catch phrase.)  I really didn't expect people to jump on board so quickly.  Call me pessimistic - for some reason I thought Dansko shouldn't stray so far from their roots.  But I'm glad to say I was sooo wrong.
