On the 23rd day of Christmas...

my true love gave to me the best in casual biker boots from Sole Obsession Footwear.

The "Miriam" by Born is the most comfortable boot you can find.

Biker boots have been hitting the fashion scene with a vengeance. Splashed across fashion magazines they look great with tights and a jean skirt, pulled over skinny jeans, or my own unique style preference (because skinny jeans and my hips have parted ways forever), boot cut jeans with a big roll to show off the buckles.

Priced right these retail for $184 but today only they are priced at just $85.

Sizes 7,9,10,11 available.

If you can't make it to the store, call and we can hold it for you. 360-392-8659

*sale price only available on the style and sizes listed above. This sale may not be combined with any other offers. Sale items returned are eligible for in store credit or exchange.

Did you see Frosty?

Last night was the Downtown Holiday open house. Great sales all around town. Thanks to all the Lynden store owners that participated. Even greater thanks to the Lynden folks that came out to support their local merchants. We wouldn't be here without you and you are what keeps us coming to work everyday.
I know many stores are still having great sales this weekend so if you missed out last night, come on down. We would love to see you.

Vancouver, BC Field Trip

This Saturday I was able to take a day off and head into the Great White North (aka Vancouver, BC).  I spent most of my time visiting shoe stores on Robson Street and at Pacific Center mall.  I was scoping out what was in style, how stores were laid out, what shelving they were using to display merchandise…you know, just a typical shopping day.  I was pleased to find that most of my shoes were on the shelves in the city.  I saw plenty of Clarks, Indigo, Hush Puppies, and Dansko.  I did come across some crazy styles that made me laugh hysterically.  If any of you are looking for that perfect holiday heel I may be able to help.  Take a look at this beauty…

Heel

You won’t be finding this at Sole Obsession but I can certainly help you find it elsewhere.

I also find it strangely amusing to ask sales people if they carry women’s size 12’s.  At another time in my life I would almost literally run from the store if spoken to.  Now I find it humorous to hear the varied responses.  This weekend my favorite two were:  “Why you don’t wear that size do you?”  and “I think if you go to the states you can find shoes that big.”  My response to the last comment was nothing short of facetious.  “That’s a good idea, I’ll check that out.”  Sadly out of my 6 store visits I didn’t find one that carried a size 12 and only 2 carried up to size 11 regularly.  None of them would consider special ordering.  All I can say is thank goodness I own a shoe store or I may still be wearing my men’s hiking boots from Eddie Bauer that I bought in 1996.  It was not a good look and we don’t want to bring it back.  Trust me!

So that was my Saturday.  Suffice it to say Sole Obsession and I are sticking together.  After an adventure in the city I am loving my small town store even more.  And I love that there are size 12’s in stock!  :)
