Happy Belated 4th of July!

This year my husband had to work so the kids and I spent our 4th of July holiday playing in the water out at Semiahmoo.  The tide was out, the sunshine was warm and beautiful, and my 3 hooligans couldn't have been happier playing in the water; discovering sand dollars, fish and other sea creatures.  We ended with dinner and a fireworks show at our friends place in Birch Bay.  It was a great day!

So what about you?  What did you do for the 4th?  What are your family traditions?  

If you are anything like me, getting back into the swing of things after a long weekend can be kinda tricky.  Yesterday I completely forgot about our Shoe of the Week.

Shoe of the Week

Indigo by Clarks does an amazing job at creating comfortable heels.

When I first became acquainted with them (at my shoe store job in Oregon) I was both intrigued and cynical.  I was intrigued because it was the first pair of cute heels that came in size 12 that I had seen in a long time.  But I was still cynical about the comfort.  The rep came to our store, laid out all of the upcoming styles, and then began his spiel. He talked in length about their highly acclaimed cushioning system, the arch support, the flex in the toe.  And me, being very opposed to heels of any kinds thought, "Yada Yada...whatever".  But he was so right!  This is the only heel I can wear.  They are amazingly comfortable and you can actually feel the arch support.  I love it when a customer tries on a pair of Indigo heels after saying they usually can't wear a heel that high and then they look at me with awe.  Most of the time I hear, "I can't believe it.  It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing a heel."  It's true!  They are amazing.

Shoe of the Week

This is what thing have become....I only get time to blog once a week.  It is so sad!

But don't fret, the regular program of hodge podge nonsense, mixed with curses about my foot size, and a bit of Ellis family theatrics will continue at some point.  I just have to get "caught" up on a few other things right now.  Thanks for your patience.  I hope you'll keep checking in.
