There are few things that I am truly passionate about.  However, one thing that always makes me excited is local business and more specifically local businesses working together.  Which is why I'm super excited to join up with Amy DeMeyer over at Designed to be Fit and offer a giveway.

Help wanted...

We have our Annual Shoe Drive for Haiti on NOW.  Bring in your gently used or new shoes to Haiti and bless someone in need.  I am so excited about the shoes we've donated in the past and that we have the opportunity to do this awesome event each year.  For some reason we are a bit behind this year in our donation amounts so dig out all of your old shoes, outgrown shoes, or shoes you just don't need anymore and bring them to Sole Obsession Footwear.  We will make sure they get into the hands of someone who desperately needs them.

In partnership with Starfish Ministries, one of the coolest parts of this event is that we actually get to see pictures of people trying on and receiving their new shoes.  So you know that your shoes actually make it there.  :)

It's already FEBRUARY!  I'm in denial a bit.  What is happening around here?  I feel like we're in some crazy time warp.  Oh wait...I'm just getting old.  Never mind.  Moving on...

At Sole Obsession Footwear we have our Annual Shoe Drive. 

 And this year marks our 4th year.  Yes, 4 years! 

That number makes me proud.  For 4 years we have

partnered with great people to help bring new and gently used shoes to Haiti. 

The need is great and you all have been awesome in helping to
supply what is needed. 

Shoe of the Week

Happy Belated 4th of July!

This year my husband had to work so the kids and I spent our 4th of July holiday playing in the water out at Semiahmoo.  The tide was out, the sunshine was warm and beautiful, and my 3 hooligans couldn't have been happier playing in the water; discovering sand dollars, fish and other sea creatures.  We ended with dinner and a fireworks show at our friends place in Birch Bay.  It was a great day!

So what about you?  What did you do for the 4th?  What are your family traditions?  

If you are anything like me, getting back into the swing of things after a long weekend can be kinda tricky.  Yesterday I completely forgot about our Shoe of the Week.  

My friend Leslie wrote reminders around her house all day so
that regrouping after the holiday was much less confusing.
 I may need to try that next year.  

I was still in holiday mode yesterday, not work mode.
